Meet Bose Okeowo, whose disability didn't limit her ability (Photos)

Disability is not the end of the world, rather it’s the ability to strive harder to achieve your set goals. Here is the story of Bose Okeowo who have broken all physical and emotional laws to achieve her own goal.

Bose Okeowo who was born in Otun-Ekiti, Ekiti State in 1994, is the fourth child of her parents (family of eight), as her father is a tailor, while her mother is a retired school teacher. Confined to a wheelchair, Bose didn’t feel inferior to others as she was unable to walk and run around like most of her age mates.

Bose is a pencil artiste, whose work keeps improving daily and from her works, she looks above average. When asked about the story behind her wheelchair, Bose said, “According to my parents, few months after my birth, a rare issue began as doctors said I have Duchene Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a genetic condition characterized by progressive weakening of voluntary muscles. And has kept me on this wheelchair.” Bose said.

Here are photos of various art work done by Bose:

I end with these few words, “Disability is not inability” you can achieve your dreams if you work hard. Don’t let anybody or anything stop you from your goal.
