There is a common saying about taking everything one sees on social media with a pinch of salt. Well, the story of popular Instagram celebrity, Bilal Ado Gaya, is yet another reason to adhere to this.
Popularly known as Beelalygy, the young man who is a popular Instagram celebrity with a following of 166,000, recently got into trouble for posing as a police officer on his Instagram page.
According to report, When asked why he did it, a visibly contrite Beelalgy cited impersonation as his reason. He was then ordered to tender an apology using his phone to record.
In addition, as the time filing this report, the profile photo on his page is of him dressed in the uniform and no video of apology has been uploaded.
Few month ago another Nigerian popular online comedian who also serves as a Naval officer, Abdulgafar Abiola better known as The Cute Abiola has been arrested for posing online with his official Navy uniform.
Abiola who was arrested on the evening of Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in commercial city of Lagos and was in detention at Naval office in Apapa area of Lagos.
In addition, it was also gathered that the comedian’s fans shared the photos all over the social media which got the attention of the Nigerian Navy.
The report goes on to say that the funnyman’s arrest was as a result of nonchalantly sharing photos of himself in his official uniform on social media.
