The Paramount ruler of Ile Ife, the Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi is currently making Twitter users busy with reactions as he trends in a video post by the ace comedian, Mr Macaroni. The video which was post on the social platform today show the Oonirisa, making an entry into his palace through the inner chamber accompanied by some of his chiefs.
As he entered, Mr Macaroni (Debo Adedayo) was seen prostrating along with his friends to welcome the royal entrant. The Kabiesi on sighting their actions acknowledge them by saying to them," won so n dobale nibi, won so n dobale nibi" ( we still prostrate in greeting here, we still prostrate here) to the laughter of all there. The king later stepped on to his throne and playfully asked them to come and do it properly, to which Mr Macaroni and his friends gladly obliged amid laughter and all.
According to BBC News, the comedian had gone to visit the first class ruler in his palt in the company of Seyi of the Big Brother Naija together with some others. It was during the period that the skit was recorded.
The king used the occasion to encourage the need to uphold our cultural heritage and also pray for them.
This has generated a lot of reactions on Twitter with many people lauding the humility and accommodating nature of the king. @ Daminaboeric wrote, "It wasn't just about Ooni of Ife featuring in Mr Macaroni's video. The respected traditional ruler used the opportunity to educate us on the need not just to respect elders but rulers". He conclude by giving the king his thumb up.
Another user by the by the handle Teniwealth, @cute_yossy says "see the king, the Ooni of Ife dey feature for skit, tell some unknown people with small change to help you push your brand, they will start forming shit. They overate themselves. Humility is a virtue even in wealth"
