Tithing has always been preached by pastors to fulfill the scripture in Malachi 3: 10, which says "Bring your whole tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now if I will not open the windows of Heaven and pour you a blessing that will not be enough for you to receive it" says the Lord. (according to King James Version)
Many people are also paying their tithes to fulfill what is written in the Holy Bible, and because they believe that each time they pay tithe, Heaven will open for their blessings. Whereas, there are people who don't believe in paying their tithes. Some persons still believe that tithes could be paid in different ways, either by helping the needy or by buying something useful for the church. There is no doubt, pastors are the ones to receive the tithes from you but it is acknowledged that the money will be kept for when the need arises. An interesting question was asked by a popular Nigerian blogger, Tunde Ednut via his Instagram page to know if his fans and followers will be able to pay N40 million as tithe if they win N400, million. The most interesting thing about the question is the funny reply it got on social media.
Will you have the mind to pay such an amount of money to your pastor as tithe?
How much will you give to your church if you win the above-mentioned money?
