Nigerian music star banger Rema has taken to his Twitter account to advise the youth to take it easy in their quest to make money.
According to him, "many youths are now depressed and committing suicide because they want to be rich and famous early, pressuring yourself because if you are not a success early you are not a success at all!. Be patient! Not everybody with money is HAPPY" says the super star kid.
With all the current insecurity and hardship in Nigeria, one wouldn't help but agree that what he has said could help boost the morale and confidence in the youthful population.
Aside that, we all would agree that not everyone that is rich is happy. For example, our late former president of blessed memory was from an affluent family and himself was powerful yet his wealth couldn't heal him of the sickness that later killed him. Do you also remember Umar Farouk, the young suicide bomber who was obviously from a rich family yet chose the part of destruction? What about Robin Williams the comedian, Budd Dwyer the politician, and the list goes on and on.
We all accept that wealth is good, but what Rema was saying, to my understanding is that pushing yourself too hard and succumbing to the pressures of life is not good for us.
What's your take on this?
