Simi is very popular for her unique type of voice. Simi started singing in her early teens at the Daystar Christian center teen choir.
Simi wrote her first song at age 10. She released her fist album in 2018 and has since then been a prominent person in the secular music industry.
Waje was temporarily banned from the choir after she got pregnant before marriage. She later started her secular singing career as a student in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). She came into limelight when she was featured in P-square hit track 'Do Me'.
Omawumi was known to be an extremely talented singer while growing up. She was the lead Vocalist at Foursquare Gospel Church Warri, Delta State at age 8.
Omawumi came into limelight after she became the first runner-up on Idols West Africa reality TV show. She released her secular debut single 'In the Music' in September 2008.
4. Wande Coal
Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe popularly known as Wande Coal started singing in the church teenage choir. He formed a Christian Boys band called 'Salvation Boiz' with his friend Chuddy K.
He came into limelight as a dancer and got signed to Don Jazzy's Mo'Hits records in 2006. Wande Coal has won many local and international awards.
Peter and Paul Okoye started singing from the Church Choir as their mum, Mrs Josephine Okoye was a pastor.
In 1999, Peter and Paul went to music school to develop their skills on the keyboard, drums and Bass etc. The released their debut secular album in 2001.
