Kannywood, also known as Hausa film cinema, is a movie industry located in Kano State, the Northern part of Nigeria. The industry is filled with many talented actors, actresses, movie producers as well as directors.

The first actress to become a movie director, Muhibbat married actor and filmmaker, Hassan Giggs. Their union is another prove that celebrity marriage can work in Nigeria.
