Young Nigerian Singers Whose Record Deals With Their Labels Didn't Go According To Plan

Some well-recognized and respected Nigerian singers created record labels in other to help sign and promote young talents in the music industry. Many singers in the Nigerian music industry signed record deals, sadly many of them fall out with their label and had to move on with their careers. It doesn't mean that they can't achieve anything on their own, but it is just a matter of the connections they once enjoyed being cut off.

In this article, I will be sharing with you a few young Nigerian singers whose record deals with their labels didn't go according to plan.

1. Lyta

Lyta has been signed to two different record labels before Marlian Records which is own by a popular Nigerian singer by the name of Naira Marley. Lyta first signed a record deal with YBNL Nation in 2018 but left the label in May 2019 after a disagreement with his boss, Olamide. He later signed with Doro music label before moving to Marlian Records.

2. YBNL Princess

Many people have anticipated that Tammie Ovwasa popularly known as the YBNL princess contract with the label will do well as she was the only lady singer on the label but it wasn't so. She left the record label after five years. She is on her own to date.

3. Lil Frosh

Lil Frosh got a deal with David's DMW Record Label. His record deal with the record label was terminated after he was accused of battering his girlfriend. Now he is on his own doing his thing.
