To a certain extent, award shows are the prom night of the music industry. Stars, and many couples at that, take the red carpet in their finest attire while hoping to be crowned the kings and queens of the night.
Having knowledge of this, Lil nas X who performed alongside Jack Harlow and Won the video of the year award - hit the MTV VMAs red carpet in his take on a blingy prom dress, Subverting it in the process. Lil Nas X rocked a lilac design that was HALF SUIT, HALF GOWN- but one hundred percent unique.
The rapper's Crystal-covered look, designed by VERSACE, featured the structured shape of a mensy tuxedo Blazer and trousers, yet had a swath trailing fabric on the left which acted like the elegant train of a dress. The soft, lavender all over was an unexpected choice of color, but proved to be suprisingly fresh when set against the gleaming studs of jewels overtop.
The star also gets bonus grades for matching his square to boots perfectly to the look.
