3 Nigerian Celebrities That Have Been Body Shamed

To be a celebrity, much is expected of you. Celebrities are people who are classified as a role model to the world. Therefore they ought to present themselves orderly and in a mannered way.

But most often, appearances make a great deal. The fact that they must live up to the expectations of their fans and admirers has resulted in a lot of these celebrities being body shamed and also publicly humiliated.

Celebrities who are not able to withstand ugly and nasty comments tend to break down due to the unpleasant words body shamers use.

However, there are also those who are unmoved and unshakeable to what anyone might say against them. And with this, it brings us to some well-known celebrities who fall into this category.

Let's now look at three celebrities who have been body shamed.

Uche Jumbo

Uche Jumbo has experienced the painful side of body-shaming. After she gave birth to her baby boy in March 2015, fans went after her, by calling her fat.

But to end it all, the beautiful actress angrily took to her Instagram and adressed those back-lashers, saying that she had tried to keep fit even though she had just delivered her beautiful baby.

However, she sternly warned those who had nothing nice to say, to kindly unfollowing her on her social media account.

Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage the beautiful Nigerian singer, was body-shamed on account of her skin in 2016. Fans took to her account dropping their unpleasant comments; saying that her skin didn't match with a particular outfit she wore to an event at the time.

Tiwa Savage who was concerned and upset about the type of comments she was receiving, replied her fans back by letting them know that she would try to start using a skin lightening cream inorder to make them happy.

Toolz Oniru

Toolz Oniru, the gorgeous radio personality has for long, received quiet enough of insultive remarks by body shamers.

An incident that really stood out was a picture she posted on her Instagram page, way back in October 2016. With that done, it surprisingly didn't take long as one of her fans commented on it, saying she "photoshopped the picture to make her look fit".

As always, Toolz does not get disturbed and neither pays attention to such remarks. She discarded such messages and moved on with her life.
