Mercy Johnson is the senior special assistant to the Kogi state governor on entertainment, arts and culture. This post took effect from 1st April 2017. She made her debut as film producer with The Legend of Inikpi.
Her inspiration to act came from Genevieve Nnaji after she watched one of her movies “Sharon Stone”, and decided she wanted to be like her as well. Another reason she took up acting as a career was for the money, because she is not from a wealthy background, and things were difficult growing up.
Mercy Johnsons first movie was "The Maid", a role she auditioned for shortly after her secondary school. Her excellent performance in the movie launched her into stardom.
Ebube was still in school when she started shuffling between school and her work as an actress. At that time also, she took up the responsibility of fending for her family.
Some of the awards she has won include Best Actress of the Year at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards, Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Best of Nollywood Awards and Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
The movie " Widow's Cult" is her highest paid movie. Ebube Nwagbo is still currently single and has never been married. She's beautiful, skilled, creative, gifted and very talented.
