And in 2008, he won Best Indigenous actor at 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards. Muyiwa is an exceptional actor, film maker, producer, brand ambassador and brand influencer, with 1.6million Instagram followers.
He was born on the 26th of January 1971 in Abeokuta, Ogun State, his hometown. He was raised in Ibadan, Oyo State. And studied in University Of Ibadan, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Adult Education. Muyiwa has always had passion for story writing since a very young age. He was able to join the Yoruba Movie Industry through Charles Olumo in his hometown. He also met S.I Ola who trained him on acting and movie production.
In 1995 he produced his debut movie, Asise. But his movie, Ori which was produced in 2005 shot him to limelight. Muyiwa is amongst the most successful actors in the Yoruba Movie Industry. He's very intelligent, smart and charismatic. So far, he has featured in over 100 movies and has gave outstanding performances. He has also produced scores of movies. Muyiwa is also a very good director.
Mr Authentic as he's often called currently lives in his mansion in Ibadan, Oyo State. And has exotic cars in his garage. His family are currently based in Canada. They relocated there to live and study a few years ago.
