The topic of Tithe giving in churches and among Christians in Nigeria has been one that has refused to settle with so many of them. This brings up constant internet battle, trade of words and have people troll themselves.
Earlier, popular Nigerian Comedian Basketmouth has taken his time to give general overseer of Living Faith Church Bishop David Oyedepo, a piece of his mind. This is coming after the bishop said anyone who does not pay tithe is under a Financial Curse and can never prosper.
This utterance from the bishop led to an Outrage all over the countryand on social media, as a lot of people give opinions to it.
In a reacting to bishop Oyedepo, Basketmouth has claimed this to be an act of threatening Christians. Also he felt the utterances were ridiculous because there are lot more problems affecting the nation but the clergy man chose to speak about tithe.
It is sad to see this issue of tithe continuing to linger on, in spite of the difficult economic and other terrible things happening in the society.
