Food is a necessity of life, as it is required to keep the metabolic process of the body running to provide energy.

But a Nigerian singer shocked most of his fans years ago when he revealed the amount he spent on feeding himself daily when he travelled outside the country.

The singer is none other than Grammy Award winner, Wizkid.

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun Professionally known as Wizkid, is a Nigerian singer who has attained several feats, such as winning the Grammy Awards for his role on ‘Brown Skin Girl’ which he featured Beyonce.

The singer, In an interview with PUNCH some years ago, revealed that while he was staying in Los Angeles, he couldn't eat any of their foods because he was already used to eating Nigerian foods.

Following this, he hired a chef to cook Nigerian foods for him which cost around $300 to $400 daily which was approximately (N108,000 to N144,000) then, using the N360/dollar rate.

In his words, he said;

While I was in Los Angeles, I was spending between $300 (N108, 300) and $400 (N144, 400) every day on food. This is because I only eat Nigerian food, no matter where I am in the world, which is why I hired a cook to prepare Nigerian food for me.

She would prepare the food in the morning and we would eat nothing else for the rest of the day.

Don't you think this is too much on just feeding, because of you are to set up a medium sized food canteen two years ago, N144,000 is more than enough as capital to get it running?

Can you spend this amount on food everyday if you have the money?
