Beyonce and other artists nominated at the NAACP awards

National association for the advancement of coloured people is an annual awards ceremony presented by the U.S based to honour outstanding performances in the entertainment industry such as film, television, music and literature. 

The NAACP has been on for more than 50 years now. It's first award took place on August 13, 1967, 53 years ago.

It's no surprise that the American singer, dancer, songwriter, actress, director, humanitarian and record producer, Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter popularly known as Beyonce is one of the nominees for this year's NAACP award.

The American singer for years now have been performing in different awards and events all over the world. She has won so many awards all through her career and also nominated for so many categories in different awards. As a child, she performed in various singing and dancing competitions, so obviously she's not new in the entertainment industry. Along side are some nominees for the NAACP: Trevor Noah, Regina King, Tyler Perry, Mary J. Blige, Alicia keys and other celebrities.
