Browny Igboegwu was not turned into an Usher in Obi Cubana's mum's burial; See the reasons

Browny had shared a video on his Instagram page on Friday, informing his fans and followers that he was on his way to the burial in Oba, Anambra state.

However, people have taken to social media to react, after spotting Browny Igboegwu wearing an "ask me" tag at Cubana's mother's burial. They criticized him for bragging about going to the Billionaires ceremony while he was going there to do usher work. There were also specticulations that it was as a result of his financial status.

According to my opinion, the veteran actor was not turned to by Usher. Below are my reasons.

(1) An Usher is not the same as an "Ask Me" personnel.

An usher is a person who welcomes and shows people where to sit, especially at a church, theatre or when attending a burial ceremony. There is a tin line between an Usher and someone with an "ask me" tag. The ask me tag simply implies that he knows very well how the burial ceremony was planned and can give a proper account of the affairs of the ceremony. In most cases he can be in charge of a particular section. This title can be given to anyone very dear to the celebrant, regardless of their financial status.

(2) In the videos Browny posted on his official Facebook page, he was spotted enjoying his stay with top personalities, including the chief celebrant, Obi Cubana. This simply means that he was not doing errand work.

As much as people are dragging him, I firmly stand with him. We all know quite well that the burial ceremony is a multi-million dollar event. It’s only celebrities who are trustworthy who can be given such a position. Ever since he came into the movie industry, there has never been a criminal record of him and this makes him the suitable man for that position.
