It is said that 10 monarchs are for ten eras, but the impact of few would be felt many years after their reigns. Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe might have concluded his chapter in this world, but the comic actor has left with his bag of comedy, no one would be able to fill the vacuum he has left behind. He was indeed the last of the humour sitcom Mohicans.

Away from that, American essayist and lecturer, Ralph Waldo Emerson has said that "It is not length of life, but depth of life". Babatunde Omidina spent a lengthy 63 years on earth, but the depth of those years were the ones that safe many from depressions with his irrisible comedy. He was an actor yet a reasonable merry Andrew.

Not that only, the unborn generation would read his unwritten biography because he has left behind a space too big to occupy. He has yet reminded us all that life will not last, and his death will always echo in our hearts that we all belong to the sand. But if wishes were horses, only a few would want to die and many of us would still wish to see Baba Suwe among the living.

However, death is our common lot, it is a guiltless verdict and a foregone conclusion, Babatunde has gone home to rest and he will no longer respond to the crowing of a rooster and the struggles of life have ended for him.

Finally, when the scrolls of the best of Nollywood are read, Baba Suwe name would be there written boldly. In the meantime, the rest of us shall keep enjoying this deadly life while taking solace in the good memory he left behind.

Rest on Adimeru, the darling husband of Omoladun.
