When God decides that He is ready to bless your family, just hang in there, it's about to be a rollercoaster ride. And who else noticed that God has been doing wonderful things in the lives of childless women lately. First it was Adesua and Banky, just days ago a 50 years old woman who has been trying for years gave birth to her first child(son), and now we have Naomi Campbell who is a first time mother at 50. Wonderful!
Naomi Elaine Campbell is a British model, actress and businesswoman. Discovered at the age of 15, she established herself amongst the most recognisable and in-demand models of the late 1980s, the 1990s and the earlier 2000s including modern day.
She recently announced the birth of her daughter and people are excited for her, but some are wondering how she was able to carry a child in her womb at such an old age. Here is how she did it.
At age 50, it seems near impossible to carry a child in your womb because Menopause starts at 40. So there are two options in this case. Surrogacy or In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
A surrogate mother is a woman who gets artificially inseminated with the father's sperm. They then carry the baby and deliver it for you and your partner to raise. A traditional surrogate is the baby's biological mother. That's because it was their egg that was fertilized by the father's sperm.
But during IVF, mature eggs are collected (retrieved) from ovaries and fertilized by sperm in a lab. Then the fertilized egg (embryo) or eggs (embryos) are transferred to a uterus. One full cycle of IVF takes about three weeks. Sometimes these steps are split into different parts and the process can take longer.
Maybe Naomi went through IVF, or she had a surrogate mother birth her child, either ways we say a big congratulations to her.
Share this to any person wondering how she did it and follow me if you are not doing so.
