Just recently, Commissioner of Police PRO Frank Mba took to the mass media to warn Nigerians on how to live their lives so as to avoid unnecessary attacks by fraudsters.
He went on to explain that some people are responsible for exposing themselves to attack by the way they live their lives.
1. Flamboyant Lifestyle Display
He said that people should be careful on how they display their flamboyance. He cited that when people are traveling, they should learn to dress modest, as failure to do so may attract fraudsters.
He specifically mentioned that women who display expensive hairstyle may become easy prey for fraudsters who can estimate the cost of their hairstyle.
2. Display on Social Media
He also encouraged Nigerians to avoid displaying extravagant lifestyle on social media, as it can expose them to fraudsters.
3. Revealing Location
He advised Nigerians against revealng information about their locations or whereabouts on social media.
He said it is better to post certain pictures when you return home, not when you are at that location presently.
On a general note he said that "People should live more of their lives offline than online".

Finally, I hope we all take these things to heart and be mindful of our security every time, every where and in everything we do.
