It is no longer news that due to series of online trolls and bullying of former Big Brother Naija reality star Tega Dominic, she has proceeded to delete her Instagram account, her action has led to co-star on the show Angel reaching out to members of the public by appealing to them to show kindness towards Tega.
The bullying started for Tega over her doings in the house with a male contestant while in the BBNaija's house. But while Tega seems to be the only housemate that is appealing to the public to show compassion towards Tega, her reasons for engaging in the matter could be motivated by the following.
She understands what online trolling and bullying could be all about: Like Tega, Angel has her own share of online trolls and bullying even while she was in Biggie's house, as they singled her out for the manner in which she dresses to troll and bully her, seeing a fellow contestant getting bullied might have evoked a kind of emotion she feels too when being bullied, which could have led her to speak out in order to defend her colleague.
She Understands the effect of online trolls and bullying on mental health: when Angel spoke out to defend Tega, one thing she mentioned was mental health, which implies that she knows for Tega's well-being to remain same, the online attack on her needed to stop, as she is likely to suffer some consequences that might affect her seriously if the trolling doesn't go away.
It is good to see that Angel reached out to the public by coming in defense of a colleague who needed her at a point in time which is deserving, as it show how much of a good person she is, who has the interest of a colleague at heart and would not just leave a friend without coming to her defence at a point in time which the defence is highly needed.
