It's no longer news that Nigerian musician Wizkid, scooped home a handful of awards at the just concluded 14th edition of the headies.
The popular award ceremony went down yesterday 21st February 2021, and saw a number of big name superstars go home with awards.
Biggest winner of the night was YBNL's Fireboy, who went hope with 4 headies award of the night.
The likes of Omah Lay, won the the next rated award, while Falz, Niniola, Simi, Director K, Master KG, Ladie Poe but to mention a few were among the Winners on the night.
As always the headies award is one that usually goes down with some controversies and talking points, and last night wasn't an expection.
The biggest talking point from last night headies will arguably be the artiste and song of the year awards which both went to Wizkid.
Both categories had Davido in it, but it was Wizkid's song "Joro" which won the song of the year award, ahead of Davido's major hit single "Fem".
Star boy will eventually go on to beat Davido once again to the artiste of the year, one which somehow caused divided opinions among music lovers.
Hours after the award, Davido who wasn't present at the award ceremony has come out to make a statement on his Twitter handle.
The fem crooner tweeted "Better rest X3", it wasn't clear his reason for making the statement, but many fans are of the opinion that it might be a slight dig at the award organizers for snubbing him last night.
Here are some reactions which followed Davido's tweet.
What do you think of the award last night, did Wizkid deserve to win the artiste of the year ahead of Davido?
Please do well to like and follow for more thanks.
