So you've made plans with your special girl, and she's coming over tonight, or tomorrow night. Or maybe you don't even have a girlfriend yet, but you're trying to be prepared.
Well, this is my list of the top 5 Horror movies to watch with your special girl.
1. The Conjuring (2013)
The Conjuring is a horror movie franchise that presently consists of about 4 sequels. But the one I'm talking about was released in 2013, and it's one of my favourite horror movies of all time.
It's a very terrifying movie, full of jump-scares every now and then. Check it out.
2. The VVitch (2014)
The Witch was released in 2014, it has an aggregate score of 90% on rotten tomatoes. That tells you how awesome this movie is.
It's about a family in 1630s New England torn apart by the forces of witchcraft, black magic, and possession
The movie is very unpredictable, it starts slow pulling you in little by little until it gets so intense and scary. It's perfect, if you're a horror movie fan. And the theme music is so effing grim.
3. Hereditary (2018)
This movie has an aggregate score of 89% on rotten tomatoes. It's obviously a great movie, I haven't seen it it personally, but I've heard much about it, and I'm excited to watch it. You should check it out too, if you haven't seen it.
The Logline goes thus:
When the matriarch of the Graham family passes away, her daughter and grandchildren begin to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry, trying to outrun the sinister fate they have inherited.
4. Get out (2017)
Now this movie Get out, is quite popular, you've probably seen it. Everyone was talking about it when it got released. It has a whooping 98% aggregate score on rotten tomatoes - forgive me for not putting this at No 1.
The movie is a legit thriller. Perfect to watch with your girlfriend. It pulls you in as you gradually understand the characters and storyline.
Chris, an African-American man, decides to visit his Caucasian girlfriend's parents during a weekend getaway. Although they seem normal at first, he is not prepared to experience the horrors ahead.
Check it out if you haven't seen it, you'll be satisfied with this one for sure.
5. The Exorcist (1973)
Now, last on the list but certainly not the least is the 1973 version of The Exorcist. It's actually one of the best horror movies ever made, quote me anywhere.
The Exorcist started terrifying moviegoers, and despite countless imitators and special-effects advancements made over that time, the 1973 film remains unparalleled as a terrifying and disturbing cinematic experience.
