Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 General Elections, has mourned the death of actor Murphy Afolabi.
The Nigerian actor and filmmaker died in the early hours of Sunday at his Lagos home.
News of his death was made public by the president of the Yoruba movies directors guild and founder of Best of Nollywood Awards, Seun Oloketuyi.

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has declared “null and void” the suspension of a former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi.
Recall that on Sunday, the PDP Tudun-Wada ward in Kaduna State suspended Makarfi for alleged anti-party activities.

The Nigerian Army has rescued another Chibok school girl, Saratu Dauda, who escaped from the captivity of Ukuba terrorists in the Sambisa forest, Borno State.
The Theatre Commander, Operation Hadin Kai, Maj-Gen Ibrahim Ali, said the ground troops took custody of the 25-year-old Dauda on May 6, 2023.

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Monday, refuted reports that more than 17 million Nigerians are homeless.
