Nowadays, several women are choosing to become mothers later in life for one reason or the other. The reason might be a deliberate option while certain medical challenges could be responsible.
However, it quickly attracts much more attention when it comes to famous people most especially in the entertainment industry.

When it comes to childbearing, it doesn't necessarily mean to be through marriage before one can have a child. Interestingly, whether through IVF, adoption, surrogacy, or natural conception, one can have a child!
This article is much concerned about ages whether married or not or through any of the above methods. Below are popular celebrities that became moms after 40 years of age.
1. Naomi Campbell

She is the first on my list of a celeb who became a mother after 40 years of age. Naomi is one of the greatest and iconic British supermodels of all time. She is one of the controversial celebrities that is widely known to be romancing with African rich people.
In recent years, Ms. Campbell was rumored to be dating Kola Aluko, a Nigerian oil dealer currently on the run for alleged fraud. She was 50 when she announced the birth of her first daughter on Instagram in the middle of this year precisely in May.
She could be described as a lucky woman because not every woman has such grace at that age. Sometimes, at about 40, some women reach the menopause stage thus making it unrealistic to conceive again unless she adopts a child.
While revealing the news on her Instagram page, she describe the newborn as a blessing and she was so honored to have the gentle soul in life because it is like sharing a lifelong bond with another soul.
2. Janet Jackson

She is a younger sister to the late Michael Jackson. Janet became a mother at the age of 50 years just like Naomi Campbell. She had announced she was pregnant with her first son, who was born in January 2017.
She had the pregnancy of the child in October 2016. The American singer had previously halted her tour in April that year so she and her then-husband, Wissam Al Mana, could focus on "planning our family."
In January, she became a nursing mum after delivering the child, and he was named Eissa Al Mana. For 4 years, Janet is yet to give birth to another child.
3. Hoda Kotb

This is a different case entirely. Hoda became a mum at the age of 52 years but not through natural birth or IVR but adoption. According to the report, the first adopter had her first daughter at that age before taking in another child just two years later.
She and her fiancé, Joel Schiffman had tried all possible means to conceive but due to the battle of breast cancer.
Honda had told people on a show in 2017 about her struggles to be a mother. She said: "One of the things in my life I've always wanted was to be a mom. Sometimes in your life, things just don't work out for whatever reason, so you say, 'Well, I wasn't meant to have that.' But it was really hard to come to terms with it," Kotb remarked.

Recently, she joined Jay-Z as the only two artists to earn top 10 charting singles in the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and now, the 2020s. Both Jay and Mariah Carey are the only two solo musical acts to rank top 10 singles across each of the past four decades.
