Ayo Ibrahim Balogun aka Wizkid was born in Ojuelegba suburb of Surulere. His father Alhaji Balogun is a Muslim while his mother Mrs Balogun is a Pentecostal christian. According to Wizkid his father had three wives. The singer has twelve sibling which are all girls

He went to Ijebu Ode grammar school and Lagos State University where he drop out. He proceeded to lead city university but his passion for music makes him to drop out again

Wizkid started singing as a church chorister and started performing at the age of 11 with the moniker lil prinz. He was part of a music group called glorious five
4. Rise to stardom
He rose to stardom after signing with Banky w EME records with his hit single pakurumo
5. International collaboration
Wizkid has collaborated with the likes of Christ brown, Drake,Beyonce, Rkelly. He gain international recognition with his collaboration with Drake which produce the hit single one dance
