Renowned Afrobeat sensation Divine Ikubor, who goes by the stage name Rema, has provided further details regarding speculations about his relationship status.
It is worth noting that the young artist created a buzz a few days ago when his reply to an Instagram follower who inquired about his girlfriend surfaced online. A fan had previously inquired, "May I see a photo of your girlfriend?"
In response to the inquiry, Rema confirmed that the person asking him the question may be familiar with his girlfriend already but is unaware that she is his partner. Rema responded by saying, "You've seen her, but you're unaware that she's mine."
This disclosure, which he shared not long ago, has sparked a flurry of reactions on various online platforms.
Many people believed that the musician had a girlfriend that they'd already come across since Rema replied as though she was quite popular.
This was when Rema held an interactive session with his followers on Instagram, where he fielded questions and provided answers. However, his fans don't want to be further oblivious to the person with whom he is romantically involved.
Several admirers of the 'Calm Down' singer suspected that he was presently in a romantic relationship. His statement prompted online users to speculate about the famous female vocalists with whom he has a good relationship.
Some of the names that came up include Ayra Starr, his fellow Mavin signee, and Selena Gomez, the American singer and actress.
However, in a recent update, the singer participated in an interview with Cool FM, during which he was asked about the viral post.
Rema refuted the idea that he had made the post and claimed that it was a false post by anonymous internet users. He went on to confirm that he does not currently have a girlfriend.
