Sustain a Soul and Save Your Soul from God's Wrath which is already in the World

Nigeria is a great country with about two hundred millions people of whom the majority of the adults have little or nothing to do to earn a meaningful living. A large number of the population are concentrated in the cities and they are either under-employed or not employed. Many souls are languishing in abject poverty, hunger, and boredom. The outrageous prices of food items push one to wonder if there are still godly people in Nigeria. We did not prepare for the confinement that will soon ravage families if something is not done. The sit-at-home policy is good but we have started seeing ugly realities in the precaution.

In His Word, God commands that strong and rich Christians help the weak and the poor. This is the time to practice our faith- bearing one another's burdens ( Galatians 6:2). We are to do good to all men especially to those in the household of faith ( Galatians 6:9-10). We plead to well-to-do individuals to remember the poor among and around them. This is the time to show true love. Agape love is the unconditional love that shows concerns to the plights of others and helps to alleviate the suffering of people without expecting the poor or weak to give back in return. Read 1 John 3:17-18

One of the reasons God destroyed Sodom was that she neglected the poor. We should not shut our bowel of mercies against the needy. We should remember that our good works will speak for us on the judgment day. Ezekiel 16:49 Look, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, fullness of food, and abundance of idleness; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. We will save our lives when we share what we have with the poor. Contribute to sustain a soul and save your soul. Be merciful to someone today and God will be merciful to you. Mercy prevails over judgment. Read James 2:14-17.

I Timothy 6:17-19

[17]Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy.

[18]Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share,

[19]storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
