1) Levels

Artiste - Flavour

Flavour's latest hit song, 'Levels' is already trending both online and offline. The song which was delivered in an indigenous language is even enjoyed by people of other tribes who barely understand the language. This song explains the old saying that music is a universal language. The song's colorful video which featured a plethora of celebrities and business moguls endeared it to many music lovers who streamed it to the number 1 spot on YouTube music video Trends.

For the people of the southeast, this song means a lot to them as it brings back the old highlife vibes delivered by legends of the blessed memory. It will be one of the trending songs in the southeast this Christmas.

2) Egedege

Artiste - Larry Gaga ft Theresa Onuora, Phyno and Flavour

When the snippet of this song was shared online by Phyno, the reception was huge as people couldn't wait for the track to drop, especially Igbo music lovers who knew the 'Egedege' classic by Theresa Onuora.

'Egedege' is an old music style that was made popular by Queen Theresa Onuora in the 80s and 90s. Bringing the sound back in 2021 after 30 years is a great deal for people who were familiar with the music. The 'Egedege' rebrand which was put together by Larry Gaga and Theresa Onuora, alongside Phyno and Flavour upholds the Igbo cultural values. The video displayed different cultural dances, Igbo costumes, and masquerades, including Ijele.

This song will be on repeat for a lot of people in the southeast this festive period as it brings back good old memories. And the touch of modern tunes and voices of contemporary Igbo artistes makes it even more soothing not leaving out Theresa Onuora's golden voice that never ages.
