Politics is not a path for weak but smart and intelligent mind, these Nigerian female celebrities have proven their intelligence which has paved the way for them into the Nigerian politics.

Despite the fact that Nigerian politics lacks adequate women in key positions in government, these five famous Nigerian women have been appointed as advisors and other departments in their home states.

Without wasting much time below are the 5 Nigerian Female Celebrities who have been appointed as special advisers to governors.

1. Mercy Johnson

The lovely actress and mother of four children was appointed as the current governor of Kogi State's Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Arts, and Culture.

Mercy Johnson has stated that she will not enter partisan politics because she believes she already possesses sufficient power as a filmmaker.

2. Nkiru Sylvanus

Nkiru Sylvanus, a multi-award-winning Nollywood actress who has appeared in over 200 films, was appointed as Rochas Okorocha's special assistant on Lagos State Affairs.

Nkiru Sylvanus became Rochas Okorocha's special adviser on public affairs after a while. She was appointed Director-General of the Imo State Film Academy in 2014.

3. Kate Henshaw

Kate Henshaw ran for the House of Representatives in 2014, but was defeated in the primaries.

The PDP, or People's Democratic Party in full, rewarded the award-winning actress. Benedict Ayade, the governor of Cross River State, named Kate as his special advisor.

4. Hilda Dokubo

Hilda Dokubo, a beautiful Nollywood mother, was named as the Special Advisers to Peter Odili, the former governor of Rivers State, in 2003 until the governor left office in 2007.

5. Ini Edo

Governor Udom Gabriel Emmanuel of Akwa-Ibom State has granted award-winning Nollywood actress and businesswoman Ini Edo a political appointment.

Ini Edo is also the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State for Culture and Tourism.
