At age five, Mabou's parents were spending about $1,500 every week on tutors and lessons.
The young girl grew up speaking English, Creole and French. But her parents decided to add more languages to the ones she already knew. At five, she started learning Spanish, Arabic, Mandarin and Russian.
She also started learning six musical instruments (clarinet, violin, guitar, piano, harp and drum set), two types of dances (tap dance and ballet) and two sports (ice skating and swimming). I wonder when she had time to rest with all these lessons and tutorials.
At eight, the young girl became a global sensation, due to her ability to speak eight languages. Apparently, she added Arabic and American sign language to her list. She also started learning Japanese.
Mabou's dad worked sixteen hours a day as a parking attendant in order to pay for her lessons.
Currently at thirteen years, Mabou has added singing, painting and playing the flute to her many gifts.
She is reported to be working relentlessly on being a, singer, a lawyer and a brain surgeon.
Here are more pictures of the beautiful, talented young girl.
