Melbourne’s Point Cook Skincare Laser Clinic is suing Amanda Coats, after she went public with her horror tattoo story in July 2017. According to Amanda, she had to deal with $1,600 worth of medical bills after undergoing an eyebrow tattoo procedure. However, Batulzii Cleveland, the cosmetic tattooist who worked on her eyebrows, is suing her for over $150,000 as compensation. Cleveland said that 11 clients stopped doing business worth $5,600 with her after Amanda’s post.
According to Iain Cleveland, the owner of the clinic, Amanda was “delighted,” when she left the establishment. The clinic didn’t get any feedback from Amanda for two and half weeks, after which she sent them a photo of the infection on the eyebrow. He said, “There’s no way we could possibly be responsible for the infection at that stage, two and a half weeks after the procedure.” He added, “My wife has done over 2,000 of these procedures, and we’ve never had any issues of infection. We’ve been unable to defend ourselves and we are taking action against Ms. Coats for defamation and that’s in the process of being issued.”
Iain Cleveland also said, “At the beginning of the procedure, the client was shown the microblade and dressing pack contained in a sterilized environment. These packs were opened in front of the client using sterilized gloves that remained in the room the entire procedure. The client left the procedure satisfied. Based on feedback from industry experts, SLC believes the adverse reaction was due to an allergy to one of the supplementary products used.”
