The Essence song has been a beautiful sensation ever since Wizkid and Tems released it. Nigerians were taken aback especially when the Justin Bieber feature was released. Since its release, the song has maintained the top spot on American rhythmic radio as well as staying at the top of urban radio for the past 3 weeks.
The news of the song's supremacy was posted on the twitter handle of Mike Adams. According to Pulse ng, the song also peaked the R&B chart as well as a Hip-Hop radio chart. Wizkid's album 'Made in Lagos' has made and passed over 200,000 sales in the United States.
It is of great news that one of the best Afro singers is doing well in his field of endeavours. Wizkid has proven time and time again that he is always ready to make more wins and achieve more in the music industry. Nigerians are in turn very grateful to have someone like Wizkid who cherishes his African heritage and is not afraid to show it to the world. It is best the we give him all the love and support he deserves.
The Nigerian music industry was also taken by surprise when a young girl called 'Salle' warmed the hearts of so many Nigerians when she sang to a beautiful beat. Mavins records did not hesitate to sign her to their record as they have been noted to explore and build raw talent. We hope to see more from Salle as she starts her new music journey. However, we are also hoping that she does not get overshadowed with her new found fame.
With all said and done, we are anticipating more collaborations between Wizkid and some more foreign singers. This helps build relationship between the Afro and the western music industry.
Wizkid to the world.
