Sadiq Daba have been quite ill for a while and was battling Leukemia (Cancer of the blood) and Prostrate cancer.
According to NTA, Sadiq Daba died at exactly 8:30pm on the 3rd of March, 2021 at the age of 90.
For so many, watching NTA was not complete without seeing and listening to eloquent Sadiq Daba. He made Newscasting looks so easy and interesting. The good old days when Nigeria media had the freedom of speech, it was indeed an era in broadcasting.
In his later years he ventured acting and have featured in many Nollywood films some of which have won awards like 'October 1st', produced by Kunle Afolayan. He acted as a very proactive detective in the movie.
Sadiq Daba was indeed a fine gentleman to behold. His spoken English needs to be studied as a course in the University.
May God give his family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
He will be greatly missed.
REST IN PEACE, SADIQ DABA.
