Nollywood Actress, Director and Movie Producer, Ruth Kadiri, took to her Instagram page to vent about how her colleagues in the movie industry (Nollywood) once again overlooked her, her works and achievements in the movie industry.
In an Instagram post Ruth Kadiri said "I am a woman, i am a filmmaker, i am a hardworking woman, I have faced the struggles every woman and filmmaker have faced, did my name at any point pop up? Yes, but because i don't belong to a Clique, yet again I've been overlooked".
Ruth Kadiri went on to say she will not be pressured and tagged Mo Abudu and Lagos State Government for overlooking her and also congratulated the winners.
What happened was the Lagos State Government in conjunction with Mo Abudu organized an event that recognized female Nollywood practitioners, some people recognized were Kate Henshaw, Ini Edo, Dakore Akande, Nse Ekpe Etim amongst others. Ruth Kadiri felt slighted for not being included in this considering how much she has done in Nollywood.
