Nollywood Actors and Actress who died at the peak of their Career

Blessed memories of our veteran nollywood heroes

Death certainly is not a nice experience for the ones left behind but to be cut off in one's prime is tearfully unbearable to say the least.

Over the years we have lost many of our nollywood heroes though some actually aged but their were few who's death was a hard pin for nollywood industry and Nigeria as a whole to swallow.

Below are some of the fallen heroes, who left at their prime of acting.

JT TOM WEST : you remember the blockbuster action packed movie State of Emergency? Well if you do, then you should remember the legendary JT Tom west who mysteriously died in a car accident on the 28th September 2006 in Lagos Nigeria on his way back home from a movie location. The accident resulted to an internal bleeding

Born on 9th July 1965, particularly known as nollywood bad boy because of his rugged and criminal roles he played in movies.

MUNACHIMSO OBIEKWE: Remember this tall, fair, handsome looking young actor? He was one of the most popular actor in Nigeria nollywood and Africa. On January 18th 2005 Muna Obiekwe died of kidney failure after a prolong battle

Rumour holds it that he fought so hard to make sure his illness never became a media feast.

He was cut short in his prime of acting.

SAM LOCO EFE : born 25th December 1945, Sam Loco was iconic and a legendary nollywood comic actor. Who never failed to put smiles on our faces.

He was found dead in a hotel room on Sunday morning of 7th August 2011 at Amakohia Imo state. The room was forced open after he failed to come down after retiring to bed the previous night.

May the Soul of this Iconic Nollywood actor Sam Loco EFE continue to find rest.

DEDE ONE DAY (PETER ONWUZURIKE). Dede one day as he is popularly called and known was an iconic standup comedian and a nollywood comic actor.

He slumped and died on 14th December 2015 while performing at an event in Aba Abia state following complications of hypertension and high blood pressure.

PRINCE DDAMMY EKE :. He was another young and enterprising nollywood actor, he plays the royal roles in movies and was growing his reputation with each passing movie.

On April 28th 2019, he slumped and died at a bar while having drink with few friends, he was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed death.

Gone too Soon. Another nollywood star cut in his prime. 18th August 1981 - - 28th April 2019.

IFEANYI ONYEABOR (DGN). He was a stunch household name in Nollywood industry, a producer and a director. He directed so many epic movies like New Jerusalem, Never End etc

The accomplished film maker died while filming in Jos, plateu state on April 19th 2019.

EMILIA DIKE. The only lady on the list, Emilia Dike was a nollywood actress was cut short in her very prime,

Reports holds that she slumped and died on the 21th may 2020 at enugu while working on her upcoming movies.

This are few of the many who have died and left us all with bitter taste in our mouth.

I pray our Heroes in all work of life, Nollywood, military, football etc never get to be cut short at their peaks.
