As Nigerian Youths mark the one year #EndSars Memorial protest which has seen many bereaved Nigerians stormed the Lekki Tollgate today the October 20th 2021, for the memorial car procession in honour of the peaceful protesters massacred at the Lekki toll gate in 2020.
As the Nigerians remembers the fallen heroes who were allegedly killed by Nigerian Army in 2020, during a peaceful protest to curb or eradicate the menace of the Special Anti Robbery Squad known as SARS, we should all remember the late hip-hop musician who goes by the name Olanrewaju Fasasi popularly known as Sound Sultan.
It will be recalled that the late singer was seen at the protest ground held at the Lekki Tollgate, as he was a hero who sacrificed his comfort despite battling with a serious health condition, which later led to his death on Sunday 11th of July 2021 after a long battle with cancer, and it will be worthy if Nigerian youths can honour him in respect of his activities and unwavering support in seeing to the progress of the movement last year.
It will be noted that the late rapper was among the fallen heroes who should be recognized, although the cause of his death wasn't related to the alleged brutal killing at the Lekki Tollgate exactly a year ago. As he's own death was as a result of a hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T- Cell Lymphoma.
