Amongst the numerous awards available for winning, you will agree with me that the Guinness World Record stands out. However, while many people have won these awards worldwide, most people aren't aware that some Nigerians have actually made the award list.

1. Stephen Keshi:

Although he has passed away his legacy still lives on. Amongst the numerous awards won by Stephen Keshi, the ex Nigerian player and coach also got his name written in the Guinness book of records. He became the youngest person to win the African Cup of Nations as a player and also as a coach.

2. Wizkid:

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun who is popularly known as Wizkid or Wizzy is undoubtedly one of Nigeria's most loved artists. However, not many are aware that the 31-year-old Grammy award winner is a Guinness world record holder. As a result of his contribution to Drake's hit song 'One dance', Wizkid became the first Afro-pop singer to appear in the Guinness world records.

3. Adetunwase Adenle:

Adetunwase Adenle might not be the most popular Nigerian figure on this list but his works have not gone unnoticed. The inspirational artist and teacher has bagged an impressive 4 Guinness World Records. Amongst his records was the record for the biggest painting drawn by the highest number of people.

4. Kaffy:

Another impressive record holder on this list is Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau AKA Kaffy. In 2006, the popular dancer and Choreographer who is the owner of Imagneto Dance Company broke the Guinness world record for the Longest Dance Party. The dance instructor led her dance group to set the record for 55.4 hours of non-stop dance.

5. Blessing Okagbare:

Last but not least is Blessing Okagbare-Otegheri. The popular Nigerian female athlete set the Guinness world record for the most appearances in Diamond league meetings. She attended a record 67 times.
