We shall take a glimpse on one of the lucky Nigerian Nollywood actor who is having a successful marriage in the person of Richard Mofe-Damejo.
Richard Eyimofe Evans Mofe-Damijo popularly known as RMD is a Nigerian actor born on the 6th of July 1961 in Aladja Delta state Nigeria. He was the former commissioner for culture and Tourism in Delta state. RMD has won several awards as an actor.
He studied Theatre Arts at University of Benin after which he decided to go back to school at the University of Lagos where he studied Law and graduated in 2004. After his education, he took part in the television soap opera called Ripples in the late 80s.
In 2008, during the tenure of the former governor of Delta state Emmanuel Uduaghan, RMD was appointed the special adviser to the governor on Culture and Tourism. Based on his achievements and exploits, he was made the commissioner for culture and Tourism in 2009 which lasted till 2015.
Richard Mofe -Damijo was married to Nigerian Journalist who later passed on. May her gentle soul rest in peace. After her demise in 1996, RMD got married to his present wife who is a TV personality by name Jumobi Adegbesan though she is currently not with TV again.
RMD has four kids which comprises of two from his past wife and two from the present wife. The good thing is that he was able to bring harmonization in the family and they are all living together as one big happy family.
It is always an issue when a man looses a wife with whom he has kids, marries a new wife and has kids also. Most women always tend to reject children from another woman especially when she has her own children. In most cases, it always results to maltreatment, abuse, jealousy, etc which usually ends up bringing chaos in the house.
But the family of RMD is different, he is lucky to have a welcoming and loving wife. He who finds a good wife finds a good thing. Elders will always tell us that you can only count your success stories after you get married. If eventually you get married to a bad and nagging wife, then your days are numbered.
May the almighty God who is the giver of good things give us foresight and wisdom as we run the race of a life partner so that we shall have a peaceful marriage. AMEN
