Davido took the misic world by storm after releasing his hit song "Dami duro" in 2012. He has since gone ahead to release several award winning songs, ranging from "skelewu to risky" which is his latest song. He is a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry.
The singer however, comes from a well respected and famous family "the Adelekes". Mr. Adedeji Adeleke who is Davido's father, is a business mogul, while his mother is late. She died when little Davido was just 11 years of age. He is the youngest of five siblings. Davido is so fond of his mother and always get emotional when talking about her.
Veronica Imade Adeleke, Davido's mum also loved music just like her son. She also had a brilliant music career and was owner of a record label in the 90s. Before her death, she was a lecturer at Babcock University in Osun state. She was bright, intelligent and loved by all the lecturers and students, and everyone who came across her.
She died at the age of 39, in her room. The singer is so fond of his mother that he even named his two daughters after her, Imade and Veronica.
