AMVCA with full name Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards is an annual award presented by multichoice recognizing outstanding and brilliant achievement in television and film. The Awards ceremony was first held on the 9th of March 2013 and has been active till now. The AMVCA is been held in Lagos State, Nigeria and as well been broadcast live in more than 50 African countries.
Over the years during this award ceremony no kid actress as been nominated until the year 2018. In 2018 a kid actress, named Mariam Kayode was nominated for the very first time.
Mariam Kayode is a fasting rising nollywood kid actress who started her acting career at the age of 8. Mariam was the first kid actress to be nominated at the AMVCA award for the movie "Children of Mud".

Mariam is super talented and has been interviewed in popular Nigerian shows like "Nnenna and friends" and has starred in several movies as well. The recent movie she starred in "Black dove" was just wonderful, she played her role so perfectly.

Mariam Kayode was born on the 1st of June 2007 into the family of Mr. Ahmed Kayode and Mrs. Titilola Kayode. Mariam is currently 13 years old and hails from Oyo State Nigeria. She has a little brother and she's the first born of her parents.
