Throw Back To The Loving Memory Of The Legendary Apala Artiste; Ayinla Omowura.
Last week marked the 40th anniversary of the death of the Apala Exponent Ayinla Omowura. I read a lot of tributes to him, watched a documentary about his life.

Unknown to people, his music shaped my childhood, I listened to his songs on the radio.
Ace broadcaster,Adewale Akiniyi AKA Wesco once narrated his life story and the event that led to his untimely death on radio. I remember I became somber throughout that day, how could such talent die in that gruesome manner? I couldn't ask anybody. I still hold on to the view that some people are not meant to live for a long time on this earth, they come, make their mark and leave. No Long Thing.

Since the week began, I have been streaming a lot of his records, close to thirty. Even without viewing his musical videos (He has None), I knew Ayinla Omowura would have been a maverick artiste. Someone that would go left while others were going right, he is very opinionated and he doesn't give a damn.

He Lives ON.
