From Watching Don Moen On TV To Performing Live With Him; The Breakthrough Story Of Mercy Chinwo

Life is indeed a beautiful journey that everyone must run and embrace the result to the fullest.

Mercy Chinwo has run a good race, a race that serves as an inspiration to others. Each day of our lives, we must constantly remind ourselves that life is truly a great gift that we must embrace. Sometimes the people we watch on the big screen oftentimes inspire us and inject positive vibes into us.

I am talking about Mercy Chinwo, the beautiful lady with her sonorous and endearing voice. Mercy has been a staunch follower of Don Moen and was greatly inspired by the American singer and a songwriter.

The zeal to serve God with her God's given talent became her driving force, and was constantly looking out for opportunities to showcase her talent. In 2012, the opportunity came knocking, and she embraced it warmly. That became her breakthrough into the music scene in 2012 after winning the popular Nigerian Idol competition.

Well, it all started when she was in the children’s choir in her local church.

Mercy Chinwo broke out with her unique style of Christian music in 2015 and developed a keen interest in Christian music after being inspired by Don Moen, Joe Praize, Sammie Okposo, Buchi, Preye, Chris Morgan, and a host of other gospel singers while she was in the children's choir.

Mercy Chinwo gained public relevance in the gospel music scene after releasing her hit singles "Excess Love and Chinedum" in 2018.

Her ability to incorporate Igbo and Efik languages in her music has distinguished her in the Nigerian gospel music chart and across the country.

It all started as a dream. Today, Mercy Chinwo has been involved in many international collaborations. She is set to perform alongside Don Moen, Travis Greene, Eben, Ana Valadao, Nokwe the Poet, and the hosts of other seasoned gospel singers in the forthcoming free gospel music concert set to hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.

A special day that is slated to worship God by all Christians worldwide.

Which celebrities are you watching on your television and looking forward to sharing the same stage? Believe in yourself and what you do, the big opportunity will soon hit your path.
