Prior to his death on September 13, 1996, the rapper was shot multiple times in his car on September 7, 1996. Meanwhile, his girlfriend, Kidada Jones was waiting for him in their las Vegas hotel room when the incident occurred and was at the hospital with him when he died six days later.
