Kayode Okikiolu and Chamberlain Usor, two presenters working with Channels television have been summoned by the National broadcasting commission (NBC) to it's headquarters at Abuja.
Dailypost.ng reports that a source at the television station has confirmed that the two presenters were on their way to Abuja to honour the invitation by the National broadcasting commission. It will be recalled that earlier on Thursday the television station was queried for granting a controversial interview to the Benue state governor Samuel Ortom.
According to the NBC, the television station was sanctioned because of the inciting, divisive and unfair comments made by the Benue state governor against the president using the station's platform
In a related news human rights activist Omoyele Sowore and other Nigerian activists have stormed the headquarters of the National broadcasting commission (NBC) Abuja in solidarity with the embattled television station.
