Social media is very powerful. Social media is an instrument that have lifted lots of people and it is also an instrument that have brought top people down. Many people have gotten their image tarnished wrongly. And many people have gotten fame within a short period of time. Over the years in Nigeria, we have seen some people the social media has directly and indirectly helped. The likes of Mr Spell, Jumoke etc
Olajumoke Orisaguna popularly known as Jumoke became a Nigerian model after she was fortunate to be captured in a photo shoot session of TY Bello. From thence her story changed. And Nigerians across all social media helped her to become a celebrity. And her life completely changed.
Mr Spell who was a man that wasn't strong and needed help all of a sudden became a celebrity after a video of him misspelling President Buhari name surfaced online.
After the fame that Jumoke and Spell got years back, I have not been seeing them or hearing from them of late. I hope they are doing fine wherever they may be.
