Nollywood actor, Olumide Oworu has raised reactions from Falz, Mr. Macaroni, and other celebrities after revealing that he will be contesting for house of representatives in Lagos.

The actor took to Instagram to share a post that carries the statement that he will be contesting for a member of house of representatives for Surulere constituency 1 under Labour Party. He believes Nigerian youth is to engage more in politics as most of them are now picking interest in it.

Olumide is a popular actor who came to limelight after playing the role of Tari in the Africa Magic Series The Johnsons. He has acted in a couple of movies since then one of which includes the trending Nigerian movie, "Far from home".
He believes Nigerian youth engaging more in politics will create a new Nigeria. That's one of the reasons why he is contesting for the post.
