Actress Moyo Lawal while speaking about her experience in Nollywood and how she has sustained her craft without being controversial, she says acting for her is a craft and staying in the industry is like a walk in the park.
In her words, “First thing first, I studied theater art, I’m a trained artist, for me, this is a craft, so, I believed that I’m supposed to entertain people, not with my personal life but with the life they are supposed to see (the character I put on).”
Ms. Lawal who won the award "Revelation of the year" at Best of Nollywood Awards in 2012 added that “because I was trained that way, every day, I make sure, I’m entertaining people.
Only by entertaining people and just by doing my job, that’s how I make sure I stay in the news. So for me, staying relevant in the industry has just been a walk in the park because this is what I am trained to do and entertaining people is completely different from my personal life, and my personal life is actually really boring.
When her opinion was sorted concerning actors and actresses in the industry bashing themselves, Moyo Lawal said, “Ok, I don’t like to answer questions about other people, but I feel like if you have a good spirit, people will just naturally help you and nobody will be against you.
Even though I’ve just been dragged recently, and I’m not in the best position to talk about this right now, but it is one love and the sky is big enough for everybody.
So I don’t really see the problems and all of that, I mean love and light guys, love and light all the way.
We should be seeing that there is so much to do, so much ahead, so much to work towards, so many dreams, what are we talking about here?
The Badagry born actress also revealed she is working on a movie titled “33-Days” by Kunle Omisore.
She has featured in movies and shows like Aso Ebi, The Bridal Shower, Holding Hope, and many more.
