5 of the Most Beautiful Performances At The BET Awards

The BET awards, one of the most prestigious awards on the face or the earth, was aired on Subday June 27, in it's 21st annual ceremony. The awards seemed to have been dedicated to celebrating black women as can be seen in how it celebrated Queen Latifah, while also celebrating Black men who have contributed immensely towards music especially black music.

The award show has always had a thing for giving the best performances because it in fact a, brings out the best in all the performers who are present. The just concluded award show saw the piles of Megan The Stallion putting her all into entertaining those presence and writing her names in the wall of VaeT fames, while also present H.E.R a phenomenal singer and instrumentalist who was seen giving a great performance with her incredible voice on her song, "We made It". Let's not forget the likes of Jazmine Sullivan who's performance simply brought beautify to the night, as she enchanted us with her voice.

Several other artists performed their beautiful songs, some simply sitting there and cheering them all, but their presence made the whole show worth watching and worth organizing in the first place. So this article is dedicated to ranking the five best performances at the award show.

Lil Nas X, “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”

At the number one spot for this list is Lil Nas, whose performance was quite eccentric. The Rapper gave the exact vibe he gave in his music video, which trended all over the internet for being very controversial. During the performance, we saw Lil Nas give lap dance to a character dressed as the devil, with a very nice Egyptian vibe and custimes that just brought a different vibe to the evnt, whilst also tracing the African roots.

H.E.R performing We Made It

The 24 year old singer and performer, H.E.R is not just known for her Grammy wins and Oscar awards, she is also known for excellent performances. The singer gave a beautiful performance at the BET considering that the night Is also her birthday. We saw her float down the stage like a rock angel, we saw drum set, fringe white pants and all the details that have her performance life. Then we saw her beautiful way of handling her electric guitar, performing a solo on it like a Rockstar princess.

Tyler, the Creator, “Lumberjack”

Well, Tyler the Creator has always been quite special, his songs have often appealed to many of us, in the manner that he blends the old school with the new school. Fortunately, that was what we got to see, when the Rapper and producer performed his song, Lumberjack. The song is the lead single from his latest studio Album, Call Me If You Get Lost. We saw him pull up in a rolls royce, come out like a champ, and just bust the best performance he had ever done on stage.

Migos, “Straightenin” & “Type Shit” with Cardi B

Well, if you haven't mentioned Migos in your attempt to list the greatest living rappers, I am afraid you are not ready to create a proper list. The rappers, created magic on stage with thebperfromance of the hit single, "staightenin". They are not much for dance but they had great back up dancers who created the best scenery for a rap performance. Then there is the Cardi B surprise appearance where we saw her baby bump for her baby number 2. It was magical.

Roddy Ricch Late At Night

Roddy had such subtle yet message filled performance, we saw him make an entrance with an evening skyline, then we saw the backdrop and dazzling backup dancers outshined Ricch’s vocals that were so Auto-Tuned at times, they were as crystalline as the lights behind him.
