Our dear country, Nigeria, clocked 61 years yesterday on the 1st of October, 2021. The number "61" signifies the years that independence has been granted to the people of Nigeria. However, numerous things have happened since independence was achieved, many of which have discouraged many celebrities from taking part in the celebration, yet some outstanding Nigerians have every reason to encourage Nigerians to celebrate independence. Some of the celebrities who celebrated independence by sharing outstanding messages through the pictures they shared are what this article discusses.
1. Sophia Momodu:
She's an entrepreneur and the Nigerian singer, Davido's first baby mama. She appeared unique in Buba and Iro with a spectacle with which she depicted the mode of dress of the late Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, Fela Kuti's mother, who was one of the activists who struggled for Nigeria's independence.
The message she passed to us all is that she is interested in the unity of our country by supporting those who fought for our emancipation from the white men, and thus she is proud to look like one of the freedom fighters.
2. Bright Chimezie:
He is a notable Nigerian musician who was born on the same date that Nigeria was granted independence. He was born on the 1st of October, 1960.
Bright Chimezie was glad as he and our beloved country clocked 61 yesterday.
The picture he shared revealed his happiness and he also said he was glad and he showed appreciation to God because different things happened during his lifetime, just as different things that can split a country also happened to our country, but the country remained one, just as he is still alive till date.
He passed the message to us all that we should be reticent in the face of adversity just as he can continue his life despite all odds.
3. Lasisi Elenu:
He is a Nigerian comedian and actor. Elenu wore a decent white robe which was embroidered with a map of Nigeria that was designed in green, which was the original color that manifested the color that can be found on the Nigeria flag.
Elenu has proved to us that no matter what may happen to our country, he will never denounce his citizenry and urge us to always propagate the unity of our country.
4. Oge Okoye:
She is a Nigerian actress and film producer.
She wore white clothes while she stood beside the Nigerian flag with the inclusion of Nigeria's coat of arms, both in the background of where she stood. She is passing a relieving message to us which means she is very proud to be a Nigerian.
5. AY Comedian(6) Osita Iheme (7) RMD:
These three celebrities revealed their anxiety by holding Nigeria's flag altogether. They have shown us how we can elevate our country to the level that we all desire by joining our hands together in uniformity to always remain a unified country.
