I am sure you must have never seen a foreigner singing or rapping with a Nigerian language. When i first came across this young man known as "Oyinbo rebel", i thought he had a Nigerian background due to the fact that he could rap with the Yoruba Language so well. I however got to discover that he doesn't have a Yoruba background. Here is what you need to know about him.
Oyinbo Rebel whose real name is Faris Boulos, is a Lebanese/Frenchman who was born in Houston, Texas in USA. He moved to Nigeria, Lagos to be prescise when he was just 5 years old. His family had relocated to Nigeria due to the business they established here in Nigeria.
Oyinbo rebel has released some songs, where he rapped majorly with the Yoruba Language. He has a song with popular Nigerian rapper, Chinko Ekun and the song is titled "oju mi bloody". He recently revealed that he is working on getting his Nigerian citizenship.
The 31-year-old singer got married to the love of his life three days ago here in Nigeria. He made this announcement after he uploaded a photo with his new wife, and captioned it "Officially Mrs Boulos, love you my wife". Congratulations to Oyinbo Rebel and his new wife, and we hope they stay with us here in Nigeria for a very long time.
